We will also go for praising the statue of mighty Columbus to enjoy the marvellous panoramic city view from here. Next sight will be Gothic Quarter, buildings of this Quarter belong to the Medieval and Roman times
In the afternoon we’ll go up to the most fascinating mountains in Barcelona, Montserrat. It won’t be perfect without getting to the peak with cog-wheel train, whole 4,0521 feet. In about 15 minutes of the journey from secluded monastery, you are liberated to see panoramic scenery. After you splurge yourself with photo sessions, we are going down. Yet, another phenomenal Romanesque Black Madonna or Black Carving from 12th century already awaits you! Your local guide will show you around every corner of this sanctuary and explain you in preferred language.
The next day we will do a trip to vineyards in a real Spanish village and the get refreshed in a nearby seaside of Mediterranean coast, the guided show you around the picturesque landscape and cellar area and tell you interesting history and secrets about the quality and popularity of Freixenet cava and wine. When slight alcohol rushes into your blood, you will be chilled. Then, we will throw a beach party in Sitges. For the rest of the tour, you will feel cultural ambiance mixed with scrumptious traditional Spanish seafood, like paella!
Day 1: Madrid – Barcelona
You will be transferred from Madrid’s Puerta de Atocha to Barcelona Sant Station only in three hours - one way. During the travel, you can relax, observe panoramic Spanish countryside. Transfer for station to your hotel and acommodation at the hotel.

Day 2: Barcelona – Montserrat – Barcelona
Begin your day with sumptuous breakfast and enjoy breathtaking sights of Barcelona with your guide. Firstly, you will come across the gorgeous buildings, designed by Gaudí. These buildings are the symbol of modernism, Gaudí was influenced by the new changes, in the terms of art, sculptures and architecture. He was quite keen and passionate to consider every small detail of his creation. Thus, the buildings are the awesome creation of extraordinary architecture. Next will be a visit to Park of Montjuic, which is quite a popular hill to show the majestic view of city and harbour. Montjuic is an amazing place which is located near the centre of Barcelona and it is a house of many attractions, such as Spanish Village, Magic Fountain along with MNAC, which is considered as one of the most important and popular museums to visit. Your guide will take you to the other places, like Olympic Ring, which was the main attraction for 1992 summer olympics. It is consist of great Olympic Stadium, notable Sports Hall and splendid Picornell swimming pools.
Other attractions are, Monument to Columbus and old Gothic Quarter. Monument of Columbus is a tall bronze statue, made in honour of The Christopher Columbus, distinguished and powerful discoverer of America. You are really going to enjoy the sight of such influential figure.
The next place will take you to the tour of Gothic Quarter, it is a place in which old town of Barcelona is situated. It presents a beautiful scene of bygone days, having narrow cobbled streets with tall old structured buildings. The great Picasso also lived and worked here. You tend to be nostalgic here of great old days. This way you can explore the beautiful place and relax in the afternoon. Then, head back to the hotel to enjoy the luxury of the accommodation.
Meet up in the city centre and get on coach! We will pass through small villages during our route to Montserrat. It will be a steep and bouncy trip, but our luxurious coach will make you feel convenient. Indeed, the surrounding views and environment of small Spanish villages will definitely amaze you. We will stop near outlying monastery and walk a bit to cog-wheel station. To go up to 4,0521 feet, it will take around 15 minutes of heavenly vista journey. When you are satisfied, we will get down to the most wonderful church in this area, the Royal Basilica. Day 3: Barcelona – Girona – Figueres – Barcelona
Have breakfast and get ready for visit to two towns of Northern Catalonia, Girona and Figueres. Our first destination is Girona, the city passing through Onyal River. This river is special because the inhabitants of the river bank color their houses with particular pastel colors. After Girona, we’ll go to Figueres, the birthplace of painting maestro Salvador Dalí. Therefore, the main thing to visit is Teatre-Museu Gala Salvador Dalí. Not only the museums, the influences of Dalí’s Surrealism can also be seen in all over the places, including in the centre of Figueres. At last, let’s go back to the real life in beautiful Barcelona by our comfy air-conditioner coach and Wi-Fi.
Day 4: Barcelona – Sitges – Barcelona
Have tempting breakfast at you Barcelona hotel and get set ready for take you to another part of this magnificent city, with a convenient air-conditioner coach. Approximately, in one hour we will arrive to a family-run vineyard and winery of Freixenet. Absolutely, you can’t wait for cava and wine tasting session. However, your guide will take you around the vineyards to explain about the grape cultivation to cava and wine making process. Also, you can interact with the grape farmers and pluck some fresh grapes during harvest times.
Then, we will take you to the cellar and see the process of cava and wine making.
The moment you waited for most! You will be allowed to taste best Freixenet products. If you would rather enjoy them in open air, just take some bottles and glasses outside. Sommeliers and wine experts might join and chat with you during this session. In case you are addicted of the goodness of Freixenet products, they also have shop where you can buy their cavas and wines with good price.
It wouldn’t be a complete trip without having Spanish courses, after all. So we will take you to the coast, in Sitges. There, you can find many restaurants offering fresh seafood as their main dishes. While waiting for your meals to be ready, take a walk by the beach, soak in the sun of Mediterranean, and play “catch me if you can” with waves. What a perfect way to spend your holidays in Barcelona! This 6 hours trip will be finished by taking you back to the city centre.
Day 5: Barcelona
Enjoy the delight of having lovely breakfast at your hotel. Get the drive back to Barcelona airport and this will mark the end of the fabulous services.
