What you can expect

Two most important battles for Spain - St. Quentin battle and Civil War preserved beautiful sanctuaries that we can visit until nowadays, thanks to the kindness of Royal Family. With this tour, you can visit both areas, plus sightseeing of Aranjuez which is well-known due to the beauty of its nature declared by UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Royal Palace.

In the early morning, get in a comfortable coach in Plaza de España. From there, you will be transferred to El Escorial whose monastery was built in order to honor the St. Quentin’s Battle. Inside the complex, your fun guide will show you the most sacred places such as mausoleum of the Charles V, the Habsburgs Palace, the Kings and Prince’s Tombs and The Chapter House. With impeccable symmetry and balance, the monastery was called as the eighth wonder of the world by Renaissance humanists.

9 km from there, you will arrive at the Valley of the Fallen which has the Basilica carved inside the mountain on 1350 meters altitude high. Right there, you will find many viewpoints to enjoy breathtaking scenic nature of Madrid’s mountain range. Also, there’s an outstanding site of 150 meters high holy cross.

After lunch break, you will get the Royal Palace tour in Aranjuez. Inside this royal summer residence, you are permitted to go inside the Chinese porcelain chamber and the throne room of Elizabeth II. Not far from there, Museum of Royal Feluccas will be awaiting for further exploration. This museum has strong relation with Tagus (Tajo) River - river passing through the region, was very admired by royal family because of its beautiful surrounding. Until now, they still spend sometimes sailing through the river, especially during summer time. Therefore, you will find boats collection of the royal family in that museum. At the end ot the tour, you will have plenty of free time to enjoy the beauty of gardens in Aranjuez, such as The Prince’s Garden, Jardín del Parterre and Jardín del Rey. The extra-comfy coach will drive you back to Madrid centre.
