What you can expect
Early in the morning after breakfast you will be picked in an air-conditioned motor-coach for your amazing and scenic tour with a professional English speaking guide. The tour will start in Costa del Sol at the Tarifa Port sailing across the Strait of Gibraltar. The moment that you embark on the ferry, you will head to Tangier where you will get to learn about the Moroccan wedding ritual along the jeweller’s street before heading to the little souk where there are spices, vegetables as well as Mediterranean fruits and dried fruits among others. A tour of Tangier will not be complete without learning the rich architecture of the old fortress also known as the Kasbah and the old town which is also known as Medina. Before heading to a typical Moroccan restaurant where you will enjoy some traditional lunch, you will visit a local bakery for some fresh bread and you will have seen the snake charmers which is quite interesting. For more information and purchase of the local handicraft and a variety of carpets, you will embark on a tour of the Bazaar. Nothing feels like a sightseeing tour along the Avenue Mohamed V, the promenade seafront, the Portuguese, the Italian as well as the Spanish and the American quarters.
After your shopping at the Tangier Bazaar, you will head to the Atlantic coast but before getting there you will have a chance of viewing tombs that date back to the Roman times and the spectacular views of the Strait of Gibraltar from Punico Roman Necropolis. As you continue to discover the magic of the Northern African country, you will learn more about the mint tea rituals of the country as you sample some green tea with mint. This is when you make a stop at where the Atlantic waters and Mediterranean meet which is known as the Cape Spartel.
Your next destination will be the Hercule’s Caves. Take some memories with you when you stop at an Atlantic dune where you ride the camels at your own pleasure as you take some memorable pictures. No visit in Morocco is complete without seeing some dunes and riding some camels. You will then head to the Port of Tarifa for a sail back to Costa del Sol. Your tour will include: a guided visit of the city, transportation including the ferry and local one as well as typical lunch with exclusion of drinks.
