It’s simply because Catalonia is the biggest producer of wine and cava in Spain. Indeed, we are going to drive you from Barcelona to three best wineries: Bodegues Jean Leon, Bodegues Torres and of course Caves Freixenet.

Starting from centre of Barcelona, we will take the comfortable air-conditioned coach to Penedès region. The first winery is Bodegues Jean Leon, the winner of winery award. It’s one of the oldest winery, established in 1969 by Jean Leon himself, the owner of La Scala restaurant in Hollywood. The the next winery is Bodegas Torres, the most extensive family winery in Spain. No wonder if this winery export their products to more than 140 countries in the world. The owner, Jaime Torres adapted some French methods to produce wine and cavas, but also brandy. The best brandy that the produce was named after the founder, Jaime.
At last, we will wrap the itinerary in the most celebrated cellar for tourists in Barcelona. Francesc Sala Ferrés, the founder of Freixenet winery directing the specialty of the cellar to cava (Catalonia sparkling wine) by using similar method like Champagne production in France. However, their wine products are also heavily favored abroad. Hence, until now they have more than 8 cellars in different countries.
