Many wild animals, like bears, foxes, squirrels and others live and breed in this infinite green field full with beech, pine, oak and other old historic teaks. Then, we will continue our journey to Queralbs, the highest point in the valley of Pyrenees reachable by road. Not far from there, we will visit Vic medieval old town. Your local guide expert will show you around cathedral, monastery and central market influenced by Romanesque style. You can find some priceless pieces, like paintings and sculptures from the National Art of Catalonia in Barcelona.
Afterwards, we will get on railway to the resort in Núria where you can explore more of Pyrenees’ pure natural state. For those who like to hike, you can ask instructor to guide you in hiking routes based on your capability. Better to be prepared and wear warm apparel and good boots if you choose this activity. Or, you can go to the river stream to get on canoe, boat or just catch freshwater fish. If you want to get relaxed, just bring your picnic basket and your favorite book or get a horse riding around the forest. The fragrance of the nature, teaks, earth, and water will be the best relaxation aroma therapy.
While during winter, this resort becomes the number one ski-resort for local and international tourists that visit Spain. Núria also has a sanctuary that many believe if childless couple come and pay their respect to the Virgin and follow specific ritual by putting their head inside a pot and ringing a bell, soon they will be granted the fertility to have a child. Don’t forget to try the local cheese and embutidos (sausages) served with local Catalonian wine and cava before going back to Barcelona city centre.
